The Sound of Communion

« Well I dreamed that stone by stone
I rear’d a sacred fane,
A temple, neither pagoda, mosque, nor church,
But loftier, simpler, always open doorr’d
To every breath from heaven, and truth and peace
And love and justice came, and dwelt therein. »
Akbar Shah, XVI c., India
Eventually, my wish is to capture the Oneness and spirit of communion that occurs when fellow human beings come together around a shared moment of sacred music and ritual. Their sense of being separate selves is transcended through a collective experience of the sacred.
My desire is that we reveal the true spirit and essence of each spiritual tradition by liberating them from their religious frames. By bringing together their shared values in a cultural space where they can be experienced collectively.
